Comment:

Another relentlessly cheerful mix full of songs that make me smile or at least snicker. The Ramones song is cool because I remember back in the early 80s, Joey had written a computer program that would play it on your Atari, and I typed it in. And it has that 50's doowop glee that Joey loved so well. The War song is kinda overused, but I love the lines about being President and how "you're in the CIA, they wouldn't take you in the Maf-IA!" It's just fun and silly. The images are from the Venture Brothers cartoon on Cartoon Network, the cover image is when they see something pretty gross, so I think it fit with the "Farshtunkener" title, which means "funky" (in a stinky way) in Yiddish. I just wanted to use that as a mix title, so there. And yeah, gratuitous cute cartoon gal pix. Except she's a transexual. I think. Watch the show, it's very funny :)

Whoa! I just clicked on this as a lark, almost mistakenly. The title really annoyed me (and even more so after I read what it meant) but I thought I'd be random for once. Such great songs here! I'm 100% in favor of every mix having a cheerful theme and this one is tops. Best tracks are "Rockaway Beach", The Go-Go's, Fountains of Wayne, The McCoys, and The Eels. My only concern is the Offspring song, which, while novel, is extremely lame. But no big deal
