Comment:

a mix for my brother in Michigan, who I haven't seen in like ten years and only just recently got back in touch with him thru e-mail. He works at a B&B/vineyard in the sticks, and could only bring half his records with him. He even had to ditch his Playstation(horror!). His base tastes are like mine, techno and stuff, so I skewed the mix that way, but there are, as always, a few ringers. The only records I can remember him listening to when we were still both at home was Negativland and that spoken word album by Steven Jesse Bernstein. This mix will either save his life or make him think that I'm a complete dork. I already think I'm an idiot for not balancing out the two sides with the same number of tracks like I usually do. Dammit...=]'

Great Tape!
I've never seen anyone else drop Holst on a mix like yours. I've used Mars before and Mozart's Rex Tremendae too with King Crimson--cool stuff

By the way (Gene again) try e-mailing the more obscure artists (they usually print their addresses on the CD jackets--they often will reply--which is cool--they'll give you a fresh perspective on the "art of the mix"
