Comment:
This is what I came up with to remember some of the bands I saw live this summer at Bumbershoot. Kind of heavy on REM - they put on a great show. The Beatles song is on here because Nickel Creek did a cover of the song - not bad either. Wish I had more Shins, but I can't remember what else they played, although I'm *really* looking forward to their new cd now that I've heard some of it. Dandy Warhols are extremely disappointing live. So yeah, this is four days of music fun on a cd. Getting decent flow and transitions were hard with a somewhat limited selection, wanting to only put on songs that were played, and with the broad spectrum of genres. Any input on song order would be appreciated.Feedback:
Minus the Bear is really starting to make me wonder. I have no idea who the hell they are. Anyways, REM blows, but you do have "Jesus, etc." which is my favourite Wilco song (props to Abby Dice for that 1!) All I really want to do is go someplace called Bumbershoot. Life needs that kind of levity. Out.
I really like this mix, it looks fun, EVEN THE REM! I once had great tickets to thier show, but had to sell them a the last minute, I am eager to try and see them again. Dru blows. Out.
Bumbershoot was awesome this year! I didn't get to go to all four days, but I saw The Shins, Modest Mouse, Quasi, Wilco, The New Pornographers, and Pedro the Lion. They were all really, really good. This is an awesome mix! And The Shins' new stuff was most excellent!
