Feedback:
Well at least I've heard of Karsh Kale. Where are the rest of these guys from?
A.R. Rahman is an Indian film composer. Jasbr Jassi is Indian is Indian but probably (and I'm just guessing here) lives in the U.K. as many of the Bhangra performers do. Carolene is Indian. The Udit Anarayan piece is a Bollywood sonbg. Natacha Atlas is Egyptian and Hossam Ramzy is THE master Egyptian percussionist. Oojami is London-based and led by Necmi, who is Turkish. Nawal is Lebanese but she's popular throughout the Arab world. Shabaz is composed of both Indian and Western musicians; I'm not sure where they're based. The same goes for Tabla Beat Science (which includes Karsh Kale)--it's composed of both Indian and Western performers. Bappa Lahiri is Indian. Hope this answers your question. Someday I will do liner notes for the entire series.......
Got it, thanks. Outstanding exploration.
