Comment:

This was a mix that I made for fun. I was inspired to make this after seeing the new hip hop documentary "beef." I'm just an indie rock guy with not that big a selection of rap songs, but I felt that these songs represented a good span of the pas twenty something years of rap and hip hop. I left out a lot of dope songs that made an impact, but I wanted to keep the mix to one, 120 minute tape. But I did leave out some cheesy stuff like MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice. I should have put some Kriss Kross on though, but oh well.

I too question the lack of Outkast, but nice picks by Run, Beasties, and Tupac.
