This is not "dark," like necessarily Gothic or industrial or depressing or anything. It's about . . . I'm not exactly sure. The songs exude a dark sensuality, maybe some evoking images of dangerous passion (those that result from casual chance meetings, secret relationships, pain, desperation . . .) to those that are just barely on the darker side of romantic; alternating between the raw and the lyrical. (Damn, that sounds pretentious . . . I just wanted to try this mix, to see if I could create such a mood. . . ) I hope it makes sense. It's really fun to listen to, just sitting around or working.
