Comment:

Damn! With my record collection back in the States, I found this Asian (mostly Japanese) covers collection a little harder to throw together than I had originally anticipated. Like I wish I had the Japanese version of Kraftwerk's "The Model", some Singaporean Johnny Cash covers, Hong Kong covers of brasilia hits and dopey American good life, etc. Nevertheless, Nina, this is for you, and I hope it contains some new sound bites! Despite seeing Cornelius' "Brazil" and Petty Booka (and I think some of these others) on your mix playlists, I had to throw them on, as they remain amongst my favorite Asian covers. The rest includes a lot of old-time schmaltz from decades past. I also need help pinpointing the original artists for some of these standards - anyone else care to comment?
