Comment:
This isn't a "greatest hits," but a collection of radio and TV recordings that have appeared the last couple of years: "Live at the BBC," which I think was released only in the UK, and "The Complete Jam" DVD. Last week there was an article in MacAddict about ripping audio from DVDs (what a naughty boy!), and that prompted this compilation.
Not much to say about the music that hasn't been said before. If you don't know, then WHERE YOU BEEN, BROTHER?
The sources of the tracks are as follows:
John Peel (BBC Radio 1): 1-4, 6-8, 13-15
Marc (Granada TV): 5
Old Grey Whistle Test (BBC2 TV): 9-10
Revolver (ITV TV): 11
Something Else (BBC2 TV): 12
Msndagsb÷rsen (SVT1 TV, Sweden): 16
Studio B15 (BBC Radio 1): 17-18
The Tube (BBC Channel 4 TV): 19-22

Feedback:
superb compilation of a great band
one of my all time fav band
AWESOME. Love that dvd.
BTW one of the highlights on the DVD are when the stupid swedish host asked Paul Weller why they're named Jam in swedish it's sylt she said, He looks away and say to the other two,"can you belive this" Next question she say is "do you play punkrock" this is one of the highlights in history of swedish telvision
Looks really great, Lennart.
Peter, that interview is on the CD, and I agree: it's hilarious! I uploaded an MP3 of the interview in case anyone else wants to hear it.
..obviously posh if they're eating scampi with chips...I make do with a slice of Plaice..Weller of course is posher still coz he from Woking and Woking is Surrey...mind u I'm in Sussex which is posher still...question is were Jam Punks..define Punk..or were they retro R&B...yep Jam were a great band and u can't go wrong with this mix!Good job.
Holly crap - this is just plain incredible. Really nice package that you obviously invested some serious time into. And as always, your cover rocks. Is the version of Bricks and Mortar even more rocking on the BBC version?
Nice stuff. I guess the "Live at the BBC" is available in Germany as well, though . . .
Lenny--- I think I fell in love with the Jam because I figured any group o' guys with that many black n' white shoes MUST be taken seriously!!! A lot of these tracks, in the versions you've put up, interest me. Good job!
What everyone else said really. Great band, great idea.Nice one!
Nice, very nice. I still haven't had the pleasure of watching the DVD, but hope to soon.
this has been said millions of times before, but i'll just throw it out there: i really, really dig The Jam.
Yeah , great times. The Jam years. NV
