Comment:
Okay, let me compose myself... Making an 'introduction to Suede' mix is a bad way to get over one's grief about their breakup. Emotion out of it, though, since Red and I are trading stuff, I made her a Suede mix, because I love them dearly... You'll notice that there's not a song from the many-singled COMING UP, that's because I burnt her the entire album as per our trading deal. Which is good, because there are so many great singles from Coming Up. Other than that, I think this is a good Suede introduction, with a pretty much even sampling of all the albums (Sci-Fi Lullabies included).. and 5 songs from my favorite Suede album, although it did shite commericially--Dog Man Star. That being said... SUEDE BROKE UP, I'M TOTALLY DEPRESSED AND SAD ABOUT IT, I'VE BEEN WATCHING LOST IN TV ALOT LIKE A TIT, AND THEIR LAST CONCERT IS A DAY AFTER MY BIRTHDAY IN FUCKING LONDON WHICH IS, LIKE, 8 TIME ZONES AWAY. If you're not familiar with Suede and this breakup means nothing to you--buy the new Singles album, and fall in love.Feedback:
Oh wait. And I intended to put in the notes... You know, my computer ATE my head music cd. Really. I had to wrench it out. My computer's as sad about the Suede breakup as I am.
.....Yeah Brett lived in the same town where I went to school...and for a moment, when The Union Jack was at full mast, they looked threatening and their debut album had a touch of the perverse that Britain sorely lacked and needed...androdgony back in fashion...tower blocks...London by night..but Suede never truly recovered after Bernard Butler left..but I'll agree with you Suede made good singles, though some say their b-sides were better. My favourite tracks are Still Life and Killing of A Flash Boy.....I think in honesty Brett's lyrics became rather laboured...but I still listen to their albums from time to time. Yup good mix!
