Songs by singers born in and groups formed in my home state of Ohio. There are many more, but this is a good sampling. I took the title of my mix from the lyrics to the song "My City Was Gone" by the Pretenders, whose singer Chrissie Hynde, was born in Akron. Ohio is rich in Rock and Roll history. I live in Cincinnati, which was home to King Records and Studios, where James Brown recorded many of his biggest hits of the 50's and 60's. Peter Frampton and Bootsy Collins currently call Cincinnati home as well. Not bad for a state that most people think of as "a bunch of farm land".Feedback:
