Comment:

late nov. 2003--mix for David. Side one underwent serious revision, but it sounds pretty good now. Most songs chosen to fit the general theme of the mix's title (a line from the Lou Reed song) -- each song has to have something of the ephemeral, the transcendant about it. Side two has a miniature New York love story on it. The good thing about this tape is there are many songs that really hit me emotionally, and as the tape goes on, I get more and more involved, already moving towards the edge from listening to the last heart-tugging song. Listening to the tape at work today, I found myself totally jamming out to "Miss You," which was rather embarrassing, when a coworker was trying to get my attention and I was totally oblivious...when a song kicks that much booty, though, who can blame me?

You have a righteous rockin' eclectic mix here. Not a bad song on it... LOL, "Miss You" just does that to a person, the backup singing just makes you wanna chime in. "Whatsa matta witchoo, boy???" I haven't heard "Lorelei" in so long, I'm tempted to dig up that CD now... great mix!
