Comment:

Guess what movie I just saw? I liked it a lot. I think the movies are a good translation of the books; so much is always lost on the way to the screen, but the spirit and story are there. Okay, this mix is a little metal-heavy, but few other bands write songs about fantasy books. Maybe I committed a cardinal sin by including the Nimoy track. But as corny as it is, it amuses me.
The KISS songs are from their concept album "The Elder," which was supposed to fund a fantasy movie, but it flopped. Undeservedly so- there are quite a few good songs on it.

This looks amazing, Thomas! I just saw ROTK too - probably the only movie in existence that's actually worth the $8.25 ticket fee. A remarkable film. Great cover too. Is it too late to add this to the pile?

I liked the second part better than the first..interestingly my Godfather voiced Golum (is that his name) in the animated version..and I've also got Bo Hansson's Lord of The Rings on vinyl...it looks a lot of fun Stripey!
