Comment:

"Hey little sister, do you know what time it was?" Time to thank your snobby stars you have an older sister who mixes! This mix was a gift for my kid sister for her 11th birthday. When I was 11, I was listening to Rancid, Green Day, NOFX, Screeching Weasel, and so forth, and had secretly introduced myself to Dad's Clash CDs at his own urging. So I thought it was high time she tossed her favorite "punk" band Good Charlotte aside and listened to some real music. Too bad there are only about three artists on this mix currently making good music. That's ok; there's plenty of existing catalogue to choose from for a second installment, since this disc has been in her CD player nonstop since the second of December. These were the catchiest of the crop immediately available on my computer. Nothing I love like hearing Blitzkrieg Bop blasting out of her bedroom while she practices gymnastics, or whatever it is she does!

Nice looking mix (and a testimony to the power of influence as regards our younger siblings) ! My youngest brother, Eric (10 years difference), once thanked me profusely (with my frippertronics/bowie/eno/jazz collection) for saving him from a "Village People Idiot's" fate! (we even did an Alternating DJ series together a few years ago.
It's so cool to influence those young skulls filled with mush...
