Comment:
It's just another mishmash of great tunes sounding good together ... if you don't know some of the classics, the John Mayall cut ROOM TO MOVE was a late '60s blues hit. It wears quite well. The live Dylan (MOST LIKELY) is a great romantic "been-nice-to-know-ya" blow-off rocker ... Paul James is an underappreciated Canadian blues guy, great song there ... Nona H. and Billy covering IT'S YOUR THING is cool funk ... The Jayhawks BAD TIME TO BE IN LOVE cover is far superior to the original in my book ... (unless I am drinking beer at a stinky bar in Santa Monica... The Oarhouse) ... well, it's Elvis's birthday on Sunday. Raison d'etre ... cheers.Feedback:
This is very, very good. But I still love the Isley's It Your Thing
sweet.
Ooh yeah. I especially like the Elvis, Patsy, Stones, and Petty tracks, but this is f-i-n-e FINE.
wohay for Saint Elvis...ten points for having 'FROM ELVIS IN...' - yup.. very good as usual..puns included..
Went back to view your other mixes and wow! You're the only woman with a record collection bigger than mine and your taste is amazing. Wanna get married?
Lookin' good Media Vixen..., have to believe you on the Jayhawks.
Looks great Sally-- kudos for including Roxy Music!
another smashing mix! Especially love the Dylan, Beatles and airplane pix.
Quite interesting and with a good dash of soul... seeing the notable writers' credits ups the 'wow factor'...
