Comment:
Admit it, no one wants to remember the REAL '80s: neon spandex, big hair and dorky retainers, listening to Madonna and A Flock of Seagulls on the FM dial, your only respite the weekly visit to the video arcade to get in your hours of Pac-Man and Defender... But cool shit was going on even then. New Wave peaked in 1983, but the burgeoning indie scene saved us all from white men singing soulfully. Viva Sonic Youth! Thank you, Husker Du! Turn off your radio and hit up your local vinyl shop, children of the '80s!
Feedback:
Awesome mix!! Album Artwork is rad!!
Excellent mix, great artwork-- I still remember mowing the lawn in my tightly cuffed jeans listening to "Antmusic" on my yellow water-resistant Sony Walkman (status symbol, of course) Thanks for bringing me back to the lawn...now that's 2 hours work at 2 bucks an hour....hmmmm....
I saw the name--Freak Scene--and I mentally screamed, "Dinosaur Jr. had better be on that list".
And they were.
You just made my day.
