Comment:

I put this together as a Christmas gift for my good friend Garko in SF. It was mostly culled from April Winchell's super wonderful web site and the 365 Days Project (thank you Otis Fodder!), and was meant to be a fabulous lead-in to the Wing song. If you haven't heard Wing yet, check her out at www.wingmusic.co.nz/listen.html. Until you hear her sing "My Favorite Things" from the Sound of Music, you just haven't lived. An unfortunate side effect: I had her Carpenters cover (track 30) stuck in my head for DAYS.

What's it like on planet Buglady? I'd really like to know. I know very little here (and I can't find the Alva T. Stanford Middle School Chorus on Amazon.co.uk), but it looks like a lot of fun. G. x

This looks like a lot of fun, Deanna. "The name's Hank Evans. Hank Evans for leetle girls!" I don't know quite a few of these songs, but I now have an almost unnatural desire to hear what "Cecil, the unwanted FrenchFry sounds like.

Now how can you have a mix titled unlistenable and not have Clay Aiken on it? I usually say something along the lines of nice mix here..with this one I am just frightened:)

Hey Deanna! I fell behind on my Otis Fodder fix sometime last spring. Looks like I missed some truly horrible (as in great) sounds.

You know, some Dillards (from Andy Griffith Show) would fit right in here. Or the "Marmoset" song from Sesame Street. Anybody remember that one?
Nice one!!!

Mind-gobbling! What could ever have possessed Judy Garland to record Purple People Eater??! I've heard Salma & Sabina do a Hindi version of Dancing Queen ,& I'm sure Hum Rahi
is every bit as . . . special.
Keep on winging it, buglady!

I guess it was one of those friend of a friend things. A guy I work with got an email from a friend who sent him the link. He just HAD to share her with me, and I of course, HAD to share her with everybody!

Not much to say that already hasn't been said. Fabulous as usual. Did you see Saaf's recent mix of songs from the 365 Days site? Not familiar with April's site, but I'll see if I can hunt it down.

I went to Wing and had a listen... Oh. My. God. Also checked out Crispin Glover as a result of reading this. That is just so much wrong! What are they doing to him to illicit that sound???
Edith Massey? The Egg Lady? Really? There's a part of me that really wants this disc...
