Comment:

boy, did the concept of this tape backfire! originally, i wanted to make a mix of classic soul, r&b, and rock songs for my girlfriend, but i realized when i was about halfway through side a, i wasn't gonna have enough material to fill a 90-minute tape. then, i thought i could fill out side b with some cool new stuff i've bought recently, but none of that seemed to fit well together. and finally, i broke one of my cardinal mix tape rules on side b: i used the same artist twice. (well, sort of; i used the replacements and paul westerberg solo. you be the judge.) anyway, the music is still good, so i guess that's a plus.

Good cardinal mix tape rule-- but if you're going to break it, why not do it with a musical genius. "Born for Me" is one of Westerberg's solo best's.
