Comment:
I know this Lone Star collection can't hold a candle to Texas top hand Franklin Onn's all-timeTexas Kid
and
Uncertain, Texas , but
my co-worker Mick is moving from San Francisco to Dallas, & he needs some music for the drive back, so this is
my best shot at getting him in the mood for where he's going.
There's just an amazing variety of good tunes about Texas! A few other fine collections at AOTM are
Jeff's
T for Texas ,
ds hendler's
a song called texas
, & Uncle Orca's excellent Texas Trilogy: (
No Place But Texas
,
Broke Down South of Dallas
, and
God Bless Texas ).
And though you'd think these mixes would all be ploughing the same ground, if you look at them, you'll find no
two alike. Put them all together & you'd have a mess of Texas music!

Feedback:
Howdy Pardner. This looks like another fine collection from the Joey De Vivre Stable.
Excellent stuff, as usual. And you still haven't told me if you receiverd my package . . . tsk, tsk, tsk. ;)
Nice. "Texas Me" by the Sir Douglas Quintet would fit well here...
Well now, this is a right fine mix, pardner. Yew done the ol' lone star state proud. It might even make ol' Mick feel better about his move inta th' badlands. Tell him to prepare for a real culture shock.
Very nice, Joey! I'd noticed the proliferation of songs from the Lone Star State myself, no wonder...after all, it IS the biggest state in the US!
Lots of great stuff. Made my first trip to Texas last year... Houston and it was hot. Food was great, lots of tex mex stuff, also hot. Great music from and about Texas too.
Very cool. Crazy how many good Texas songs there are.
