yeah, seriously. "Sonne" has the greatest riff in history.

A poor man's version of Laibach (where they culled their aesthetics, without any of the humour, wit and irony, though) seems more to the point. Their sound was dated 10 years ago, their politics are veeery questionable, their lyrics are immensely stupid and their appearance is ridiculous.

I've read the translated lyrics. I don't agree with their radical leftist politics either, but if I cared about that I wouldn't be able to listen to anyone except Ted Nugent perhaps. There is a time and place for mindless energetic music, and they certainly fit the bill.

I'm more of a Slayer man myself.

Rammstein is a great band. who cares about the politics of the band?? it's great music in my opinion. also, the comparison with Laibach is interesting, i never would have made it myself, but i can see where you're going with it. Rammstein isn't as aesthetic as Laibach, it's a bit rougher around the edges and not as well thought-out and lyrically complex as Laibach, but that doesn't make them total crap either...also, i'm in agreement with the others about the omission of "sonne"...but this is still an awesome Rammstein mix.

I like em, they have their own niche. Their lyrics translated are pretty twisted. I, too, would have included Sonne.

I like Sonne; I wanted to also include Wilder Wein, Eifersucht, Zwitter, Tier, Spiel Mit Mir, Lachzeit, Seemann, Klavier, Feuerrader and Mein Herz Brennt... but these are the songs that won out.
