This mix was a slow-burn. I just started recording song segueways last night, mostly instrumentals on the first side (the tape turns out to be almost half instrumentals over both sides). And I tried really hard to stay away from "the usual suspects". Naturally, a few crept in. But this is without a doubt the most first-time songs I've put on one tape since I was in high school. And as fate would have it, the tape begins and ends with jazz. Or "jazz", depending on who's listening.
