Do I really get to be the first one to answer the question?! Wahoo! I believe the song in question is called "500 Miles (I'ts Gonna Be)" by The Proclaimers -- that is, if we're both thinking of that one-hit-wonder Scottish twin brother band. When I was in the ninth grade, my best friend (of all people) told me I looked like the Proclaimers. I am a girl, p.s. :) Vive friend mixes! Esp. like the Strokes track, adn nice to hear it in a Friendly context.
