Comment:
end of feb. 2004 -- Response mix to Liz's Blues 101. Songs with asterisks in direct comment to her, whether other versions of songs from her disc, same artist, etc. I decided to file this under the "Blues" category, even though it's not blues per se -- blues-inspired, perhaps. I called it "...and Bastard Sons" as a elliptical homage to "Ball And Biscuit" ('but it's a fact that I'm the seventh son') and also to justify the inclusion of the ever-controversial (in blues circles) Led Zeppelin. You may call them bastard sons...I call that opening bassline pure Technicolor-blues glory. While there are lots of songs I like on here, I'm not quite satisfied with the flow. The first four and last four really please me, but something just didn't click in the middle...oh well.Feedback:
