Comment:

I updated this mix to reflect the Absent Friends album that came out earlier this year. I originally made this for my friend Kevin who wanted to be introduced to more by Mr. Neil Hannon. The title of the album each track is taken from is in brackets, and they are basically chronologically ordered. Because The Divine Comedy do really great covers, I included three on here: The Walker Brothers -- Make It Easy On Yourself (lavishly string laden live edition), David Bowie -- Life On Mars (a really pretty affiar with Yann Tiersen)and Ride -- Vapour Trail (very true to the original). I probably would have incuded more B-sides if I had the room, as I think some of his best songs end up on singles. It turned out really nice.

Great compilation. I'd love to get a copy of this. Any interest in a trade?

Divine Comedy are still a bit of an underground secret in the US (not sure if you are in the US or not) but it's great that you are turning people on to them. Neil is pure quality.
