Comment:

I've been trying to craft one of those great "whoo, here comes summer" mixes for about two months, but it's very hard to do when there is snow on the ground. Over the last few days, though, we've finally gotten some warm temperatures, and my inspiration was renewed. So, here she is.

Before I submit this, I'm sitting here looking over the songs one last time, and realizing that the lyrical content of some of them doesn't quite match the giddy mood of the music. I mean, there are songs about suicide, hopeless drug dependency, and insane asylums. I guess that's what summer's all about, though. You know, that and girls.
Thanks to Charlie Rose for the new and improved title.

This looks wonderful. What could ring in the season with more amplitude than insanity, dependency and dames?

Sean, I am enjoying that Breakup Society album. I haven't yet managed to pick up anything by the Frampton Brothers, though I've been keeping an eye out for "File Under F For Failure". Good place to start? And thanks for the comments, people.

And damn, "Insanity, Dependency and Dames" would have been a much better title. Screw it, I'm changing the name. Thanks for the help.

Great. Great. Great. And Ed thanks you for including the Breakup Society, I'm sure. I can't wait to tell him it's been used by someone other than me. And yeah, File Under F is their best, followed by the Hate You e.p. If you need copies of these, I'm sure that Sean or I could help you obtain them...

This looks like a great way to pass the time over the next six months while waiting for summer to hit Minneapolis.

Whoa! Two of my absolute faves on one CD-- Wes (surprised you didn't pick his "Summer Single") and Kirsty (RIP)-- though I love the full title on that one ("swears he's Elvis"). I'm w/ Lo-Fi...waitin for a little summer in the cities. Great effort.

Yeah, that and girls. You're right this doesn't reduce to a simple single concept but it looks like it really works. I'd like to hear it if you'd like to trade -

Actually, I know where you're coming from, Mike. I kept trying to fight it, and not like that song, but eventually I couldn't resist it anymore. Thanks for the comment(s).
