Comment:

I'm sure I've left out somebody's favourite Stone Roses track. Feel free to point out anything I've left out. Other than the first and last two, I really didn't put that much thought into the sequencing of the tracks. I'm sure that things will change by the time I actually burn this cd.

I remember seeing The roses on BBC's The Late Show and the sound system fuckin up and Brown calling The BBC's sound guys amateurs..anyone else remember that? Must have been just after they released their debut album. Fool's Gold has always struck me as being one of the most amazing sounding records I've ever heard and it still gives me the same rush today! A Great Band and one of the truly last great bands this country ever produced. The shame is they never topped that debut album!

I think the real shame would have been if that debut album had never been released in the first place, or if I had never borrowed it from my brother on that day back in 1997. It definitely opened my mind to a whole new world of music. I probably make it sound like a religious experience, but it did change the way I look at the world. It's going to take a very special album to replace that one as my favourite cd in my collection. So far Screamadelica is a close second.
