Comment:
NOTE: I originally posted this mix a while ago, but it got deleted when I tried to edit it. Anyway, here's the final edited version. When I came up with this concept, I thought it was really original, honest. However, this 72-minute mix is stricter about the song names than others with the same theme. Otherwise, songs like Hendrix's "Wind Cries Mary", BS&T's "Lisa, Listen to Me", and Stevie Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely" would've definitely made the list. The only obscure band I included is the Slackers, an incredible ska band from NYC. "Sarah" is very downtempo and bluesy for a ska song, and worth a listen. All in all, I like how this mix turned out, particularly the flow from song to song. Here's a list of a few that didn't make it:
Elvis Costello - Alison
Jack Johnson - Taylor
John Travolta - Sandy (from Grease)
The Pietasters - Maggie Mae
Rufus Wainwright - Sally Ann
Townhall - Ellie Mae
Enjoy.
Feedback:
Very freakin' cool.
