side a is "the past and the damns you give"; side b is "the claims you lay to certainty." made for an anonymous tape swap coordinated by the radio station for which i was a dj, so some concessions (albeit few) were made to palatability. [oh-- and true solar holiday was a local richmond, virginia, band, since broken up, who played really dynamic mathy acoustic music with intelligent lyrics; lotushalo was a local nashville/murfreesboro, tennessee, band, also since broken up, who played complex and surprisingly melodic mathrock (yes, i have a thing for the mathy stuff) and whose members are now in successful local band apollo up!.]
