This mix is a collection of authentic U.S. presidential campaign songs and various pop songs about presidents. I made this for a friend of mine whose birthday just happens to be November 7, which is election day this year. He's interested in politics, history and music so this seemed like a perfect idea, plus gave me a chance to play with the CD burner on my new computer. Oscar Brand is a folksinger who released an album of presidential campaign songs dating back to Washington earllier this year. I end the CD on what I consider to be a cool patriotic note with Ray Charles' version of "America the Beautiful." Now get out and VOTE!
