Comment:
How many more sci-fi movies do we have to endure about the moment when robots reach consciousness and swiftly amass to conquer humanity? What this album presupposes is, What if they didn't? What if, when the first robot had a moment of consciousness, it was just a passing moment of reflection? This album takes you through the first robotic daydream that lasted a solid 0.4 seconds (computers think fast I guess) but is expanded in sound. Robot B-11 contemplates love and loss and how being a robot would complicate things, and he even contemplates robot stereotypes of being bent on human annhialation. If you want a fun mix of mostly indie rock, or like a quirky concept, give this a shot. Note: the Our Lady Peace tracks are actually just stock recordings that THEY used between songs on their album "Spiritual Machines"Feedback:
Huh? Ummm... I dig the Lennon< Kraftwerk, and TV on the Radio tracks.
This is a very creative concept and an intriguing mix.
