PIXIES - "Oh Kiss My Ass, Oh Let It Rock!"
Comment:
This is something I'd been wanting to do for the last few months. I threw it together within the last hour. I can't believe 30 tracks fit on here! This definitely represents my favorite tracks by the band, though there were a few regrettable omissions. I had a hard time cutting anything from "Doolittle" and--in my opinion--the greatly underrated "Trompe Le Monde." I would have shuffled the tracks around into a more thoughtful running order, so that they weren't in chrono order (and I may still do that in the future), but I have to get up early in the morning. Coachella, here I come!
Feedback:
nice.
Head On!
Love them Pixies! (And I agree -- Trompe Le Monde is criminally underrated!
You hit most of my faves, except for my top Pixies pick, "Caribou". Trompe Le Monde is second favorite Pixies album after Surfer Rosa, which is one of my 2 all time favorite albums.
"it's ED-U-CA-TION-AL"
God I love the Pixies. I have to agree, Trompe is definitely under rated. That was the 1st Pixies album I heard and it totally rocked my ass! awesomne job!
great band , great song and well greweat mix
I am un CHIEN! andalucia!!! The Pixies have to be the best friggin' band of all time, and I mean including the Beatles, Stones, etc. Nice job, especially including #'s 9 and 25 (my faves), but wish you would've inclueded "All Over The World" from 'Bossanova'.
This totally rocks but where's "all over the world?". Im baffled.
Lots of classic tunes here.
Re: "All Over The World"...I tried to include as little from "Bossanova" (my last favorite Pixies record) as possible. Tracks 20-22 are lucky they got on there (though I do like those three quite a bit). Re: "Caribou"...it's fine, but not among my top favorites. After seeing them live at Coachella yesterday (65,000 people!), I'd have to say the most regrettable omission from this disc is "Gouge Away."
Nice mix. Classic stuff.
