This was the first tape of 2004. The first post-christmas bundle, and the majority of tracks are based either on Cds I got for Christmas (Billy Talent, The Rapture, Calexico) or from CDs I'd bought with my Christmas money (Azure Ray, Explosions in the Sky, Gloria Record, Thrice, Blink 182). Also because I was at home for Christmas, it meant watching dangerous amounts of David Lynch, hence the Mulholland Drive title, the Blue Velvet "In Dreams" and Twin Peaks "Falling". The front cover had a picture of Laura Elena Harring, and the first time I listened to this tape I was walking around Debenhams, BHS and goddamn JJB sports trying to buy a rucksack because mine was being held together with LLoyds TSB badges. I completely failed. In fact, I didn't even get a new bag until three months later.
