Comment:
the majority of the HMSS series are loosely based around a theme. Where v.3 is pretty obviously a summery mix, this is a little less obviously a dylan mix. Two classic dylan tracks, a Wilco song in which he gets name-checked, and a handful of singer/songwriters that wouldn't exist were it not for ol' Bobby D. (along with some other stuff to round it out)Feedback:
The Television and Van Morrison songs are classic. Nice.
I recommend the Loudon Wainwright Song "Talkin' New Bob Dylan" should you ever require a track 17 for this mix. The Uncle Tupelo song on here is awesome.
"Stuck Inside of Mobile" is the first song I remember hearing. I was about two.
This is quite wonderful. Excellent choices by Mr. Zimmerman, fine songs by Wilco, Uncle Tupelo, Miles, Van, the Replacements (and others), and my favorite Bruce Springsteen song to boot. Nothin' but fine!
