This tape was... quelle surprise, written four days after a particularly good party I went to. The first time I listened to this tape (which, strangely, I have no recollection of making, at all) was in the park sitting by the river on my own drinking cider, as a group of haggard trampy types set up a fairground on the other side of the field. As I got more drunk and it got darker as the tape progressed, the writing of the tracklisting gets more erratic, and the last four songs were written completely inebriated and by the light of a cigarette lighter. Notes: the Mines of Solomon are a friends band and are so far the only existence of me stooping to put my friends songs on my tapes because that's a really annoying thing to do, and this is also the only Beatles song on any of my tapes.
