Comment:
A combination of some recent purchases,(Ghost,Black Dice), downloads and old favorites (Oneida,Bardo Pond). The Tiny Tot Calvin track is a recording of a young boy (who sounds like he's a refugee from "Children of the Corn") singing "Will you be ready when Jesus comes?". It gets things off to a suitably creepy start, needless to say, leading right into the bone-crushing Oneida track. It was d/led from a super-awesome mp3 blog by the name of The Tofu Hut. I'm pretty sure that it's no longer posted up there, but the blog is well worth checking out. Tons of very cool tunes posted on a regular basis and the dude knows how to write, as well. Oh yeah, thanks to lo-fi jr. for the heads-up on Pentagram. Great stuff.Feedback:
great as always. love the oneida and bardo pond picks especially.
Very kewl. Is that Tiny Tot Calvin track from the otisfodder 365 day project - it rings a bell...(also, thnx for the Tofu Hut link - wicked site!)
y'know, if I remember correctly, I think it is from otisfodder originally. Funny story, my 2 year old, Joe was sitting on my lap after this mix finished burning this morning and he was really getting into the TTC track which leads into "Winter Shaker", a rather noisy one from the boys in Oneida.Well,it scared the shit out of him and he flew off of me and ran into the other room. Pretty funny stuff, I tell ya. :-)
Looks cool to these eyes, Mr. Porter.
That's a good story - I'm not familiar w/Oneida, but I can imagine the scene! Great mix.
Nice one, esp Kammerflimmer, Fennesz & Ghost.
Always nice to see one from you, Shawn, and this is no exception.
love all that i know, which is everything but 1, 5, and 10. nice job.
I likes this. The Ghost track (and the album it's from) is awesome. And that Children of the Corn (undervalued movie! great corny horror!) kid sounds cooool.
Hope they never find the cure for this one. Thought you'd dig the Pentagram.
Very cool Shawn.
nice stuff
I like this a LOT. Nice Fennesz!
