Comment:
These are leftover tracks, losers in the competition to get on previous mixes, eclectic tunes I can now delete from the hard drive. All were recorded from vinyl (with varying levels of competence). Cover star: Lenny Brenner from Mad magazine.
Feedback:
Great idea, excellent cover, and wonderful tunes. First rate all around!
Yes - a fave W. Eric tune! And hooray for Mad! Nice stuph.
I guess I can scratch that photo from my "prospective cover pics" list! Great layout on the cover - nicely done as always.
You've got a lot of faves here - great picks from Shoes, Wreckless Eric, Bee Gees, Silicon Teens...you know, I could go on...

Looks really great - excellent cover too! Like the Ravel, Nina Simone and Ian Dury.
From song list to cover, this is top-notch!
Cool. I've always liked that Ian Dury song.
Great collection of picks... especially Split Enz, Shoes, Ian Dury, and the wonderful Fabulous Poodles. I have a bunch of their vinyl I'll have to dig out and give a spin.
Wot I know here I like...great cover...excellent!
Good fun!
I love leftovers! Excellent Mr. Saaf.
excellent leftovers, just like pizza from yesterday, that always taste great
Lots of great stuff, especially Wreckless Eric.
Loads of leftover excellence (yesterday's pizza? C'mon!), as usual, though I guess I'll pass on that Tomita (TOMITA???) track . . . ;)
Nice! Can't believe no one has given you shit for including Olivia Newton John. I guess we're all scared of you! ;)
Well, maybe this mix would give Olivia a better, more interesting context ... I don't know that I could learn to tolerate "Sister Golden Hair" but ya never know ...
we still can't get enough Wreckless Eric
I'll defend the ONJ pick, and not JUST becasue she was my first celebrity crush. Especially sandwiched between Wreckless Eric and the Fab Poodles I think it works just fine. I've also recently been won over to many songs in the America catalog - including Sister Golden Hair (although the Hummingbird's killer cover of that song had a little to do with it for me).
CONGRATULATIONS Saaf!!!!!! (Long overdue, imo.)
Congrats! This was a great choice for MOTW!
superb stuff, Lenny, old son. Like mr Valis has said "LONG OVERDUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
YIKES! this is truly spectacular. i'm a big, big fan of the leftover mix.
Wonderful. Congratulations. And, yes, overdue.
Congrats. Well-deserved, and, uh, what Gary, Gerry & Valis said.
Whoa! He won, he won! Congratulations! What Mohr said! Help! My keyboard is stuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A worthy mix, no doubt. Congratulations.
This is a very worthy mix, a great collection. I especially like your Byrds and Shoes choices.
Truly fabulous. The whole thing, not just the Poodles!
Mad mag reference alone makes this a winner.
