Comment:
a hip-hop mix specially formulated for those who claim to dislike the genre. just try not to shake dat ass.Feedback:
just to to get one thing clear, rap and hip-hop are two entirely different things, in my opinion as well as others. this mix here, is hip-hop!! nice!
i just wanted to a)make the title catchy and b)avoid over-use of the term 'hip-hop.' apologies!
dig the Del, Aesop, and Outkast tracks.
some solid jams on this mix, but a lot of it seems really "white-hop" clichT. do people really actually LIKE atmosphere/slug? my suggestion is to ease WAY WAY WAY up on the anticon and focus on some quality golden age stuff, too. maybe nas circa illmatic or b.i.g. circa ready to die.
ps. fucking CEX? ugh.
ps. fucking CEX? ugh.
...but i made the mix for people who don't like hip-hop, not hip-hop enthusiasts!
i wasn't knocking you or anything, i just really wanted to see where i stood as well as everyone else! no problems, man! yeah, it's still cool though.
Good stuff but I can see Anathema's point. I'm not so sure about that anticon/defjux kind of stuff. Gimme a bit of Kanye any day.
ok, okok. further elucidation as to the theme of my mix is required, i can see: i am an indie rock girl who didnt like hip-hop a couple years ago. listening to some anticon etc got me into the genre (i think of them as "transition" hip-hop) and now i subsequently like everything from what's listed here to more embarassingly mainstream rap like ludacris. i just wanted to make a mix for people who dont yet like hip-hop, not, NOT, hip-hop enthusiasts. hence the title. honestly dont mind your feedback, but thouhgt you should be aware of the theme etc.
