This is a mix for a younger friend of mine who made the sweeping generalization "I don't like old music." In his defense, he later conceded that he does enjoy most of the bands on this mix, but I figured I would go ahead and make the thing anyway, for I don't have any other mixes devoted to the older bands I love.

I know I left out a lot of wonderful bands (Gang of Four, for example) while putting on several songs by others (The Kinks, for example), but this is by no means an attempt at including all of the wonderful music from the 1970s(ish) era - merely a collection of some of my favourite songs.
