Comment:
Lots of people don't much like hiphop. My theory is that they just think they don't and they haven't heard the really good stuff. The idea behind this CD is basically that. This is my CD to give to people who think they don't like hip hop. It holds a wide selection of honest to God downright awesome hiphop from most of my favourite hip hop purveyors. So if you like the beats and rhymes already, you'll hopefully like this, and if you don't than hopefully you can learn something!Created December 20, 2003.
(note: this mix is faded and edited to be 80 minutes. the songs individually will add up to much more than that. contact me if you would like to get hold of the full version. [msn is most reliable, if use email use something in the title that will make me think it isn't spam])
Feedback:
An pretty great collection, though I would have included some Mos Def, and Common's "I Used to Love H.E.R.", maybe even some Anticon.
Especially good call on Latyrx and El-P.

Great Deltron track.
I like the Outkast and Basement Jaxx, and I also think that "Stepfather Factory" is a good choice as an introduction to El-P. I would have also put on some Missy Elliot, Themselves, and maybe some classic tracks from the Death Row label (although I don't know if that's hip-hop or rap or if there's any confusion there).
I'd love to hear this.
