Comment:

A friend of mine doesn't like female vocalists. Well, at least as far as rock music goes. I think he respects old blues/jazz/soul singers like Billie Holiday, Aretha Franklin, etc. But if pressed to name female vocalists he likes in rock (including punk, pop, whatever) the only ones he can come up with are Exene Cervenka, Chrissie Hynde and Natalie Merchant. Whenever I've made him a mix, I always leave off good songs since I know he's not into women singers. This time, I said fuck it and decided to make him a mix with no male voices (except for background vocals). This might've been better if I could've used vinyl and I put it together pretty quickly. Perhaps too quickly. But I think it's got a good variety of songs and vocal styles. We'll see what he thinks...

I'm not too big on female vocals either, but that's a very spiffy mix you've put together.

My friend Alisson hates female vocals. Really, she's just set herself up because I always put a few on her mixes just to at least attempt to broaden her mind a bit. I think your mix would kill her though:)
