Comment:
A sequel to the White Album, this 1972 album contains 25 very different tracks, each with its subtle Beatlesque sound. "I Lie Around" makes a fantastic opener and some highlights include "Live and Let Die," "Give Me Love" and "Mind Games." The final four tracks play as a "Revolution 9" of sorts, but with true melody. The accompanying single for the album is "My Love" (McCartney) b/w "C Moon" (McCartney).
(In cassette form to show two disc format)
Feedback:
Well done!
Nice job - & I really like the cover...
Nice concept. I'd have to say that if I had to pick their "best" post-Beatles work, the setlist would be dramatically different (i.e. Imagine, Mother, Too Many People, Give Ireland Back To The Irish, What Is Life), but to capture the idiosyncratic mood of the White Album this does the trick nicely.
I was in the midst of posting my "essential Paul McCartney solo" mixes when I noticed your solo Beatles mixes. These are really great! And I love the covers.
To answer popklucher, this is part of a long "fictional" history I compiled. This would only be their 1972 release, as they would have released some other tracks on their 1970 and 1971 releases. The 1970 release features "Maybe I'm Amazed" and "Mother" among others, and is posted earlier.
