Comment:
The theme is Japanese music, in response to Katjusa's German Hip Hop mix. Twice as long as her trade, to make up for my sorry response time... I'm pretty pleased with the musical range on this mix. Sadly, I don't have any of the Tzadik New Japan releases to add to this lineup [pricey releases on that label!], but hopefully some rare imported stuff will make up for that absence. and cheeeeese -- a couple of anime themes and Parappa the Rappa thrown in for the fun factor. I tried to avoid the more known stuff -- no Cibo Matto, no Cornelius or Kahimi Karie or Takako Minekawa or Pizzicato Five .... she can get a hold of that stuff on her own. But at the same time, no JPop mix would be complete without some of the major players, like Namie Amuro and Puffy.Feedback:
Looks great...if you want another one of my mixes I'd gladly trade for a copy of this mix. Let me know....pachunga@yahoo.com
This looks fascinating -- could be awful for all i know, but at least Super Junky Monkey were brilliant (whatever happened to them, anyway?). I'd love a trade... and if you could sneak in anything by Koenji-Hyakkei, Nanase Aikawa, or Tairikuotoko vs. Sanmyakuonno i'd be even more pleasantly amazed and grateful (no i ain't heard them, they just seem interesting). Nice work!
