the tracks on this tape date from 1982-1992, back when hiphop meant something, when it had soul, funk, wit and not just nine bullets in the chest (of course there are exceptions but i like being unnuanced). not too indie, not too glossy. sir mix-a-lot? i'm sorry, but that song is a classic. have fun.
