I recently discovered that I'm particularly drawn to songs that incorporate some kind of vocals that aren't actually words, in most cases meaning la's or doo's or ah's or something along those lines. I decided to use this criteria as a basis for mix. I tried my best not to double-up on artists but both Beck and the Pixies managed to slipped in there twice. Keep in mind that in some of these songs the non-words are very brief, but I think even then they just stand out more.
