Comment:

Good things come in small packages. Each of these 21 songs clocks in at less than 100 seconds. This particular collection was initiated by repeated listenings to Monk's Music with its short introduction. A collection of short songs isn't particularly original, of course. As I was finishing up this mix I saw a Metafilter thread where the theme is discussed. The twist here is the three-inch CD, which is shown below at actual size. (A.D.D. stands for Attention Deficit Disc.)

On your mark...

Greta. I also saw the Metafilter thread and started thinking about a short songs disc, but where I sat on my but you jumped to it. Kudos. And the three inch disc does put it over the top. I didn't even know they made three inch CDRs. Great song picks (as usual). Especially digging the Deaf School and Buzzcocks picks - and a short Soft Machine song seems impossible to find. And perfect illustration for the theme.

Whoa, this is really cool - The Jam, The Buzzcocks, Wire, Billy Bragg - good Lord I love a lot of this. Nice work! I guess that says a lot about my attention span though :)

Fascinating. I would love to hear this! It reminds me of "Miniatures: A Sequence of 51 Tiny Masterpieces", which are all one minute long... (but I'm sure yours is much more listenable).
