this and my chillout, vol. 2 (piano tracks) were compiled at a friend's request. this one in particular is made to evoke our memories of the beach, culling a number of tracks from prior chillout mixes and a number that simply make me think of the beach at sunset (or sunrise, as the case may have been.)

the stone inuktuk on the left-hand side of the slipcover lives in stanley park, vancouver, canada - a fellow we have seen often in our late night\early morning post-party jaunts.
