Comment:

Grab bag of songs that might fit into a Wes Anderson film. Most of his music is "Nuggets"-esque/British Invasion/60's folk stuff, and every film so far has had a Stones track in it, so I had to keep that. The Dirtbombs song might work well in his montage sequence. The Donovan song would fit into his trademark underwater shot. The last two songs would go well with the in-camera slow motion change shot at the end of his films. And maybe he'll bring in Public Enemy with "The Life Aquatic."

This could totally work in a Wes movie. I'm looking forward to "The Life Aquatic" soundtrack almost as much as the movie itself. Almost.

This is nice. I've heard that early screenings of Life Aquatic have included Sigur Ros and "Everything In Its Right Place" by Radiohead.

Nice! In order to be really lame and cheap for a second, I'm going to point out one of mine here - http://www.artofthemix.org/FindAMix/getcontents.asp?strMixID=72164 - it's an imaginary Wes Anderson soundtrack as well. I love the fact that you've pointed out what you'd apply some of the songs too - nice Marmalade and Kinks especially - a good idea and something I didn't think to do. The April March track is perfect too - great stuff overall!

Some great stuff here - I'm only familiar w/Tennenbaums & its OST, which w/Mark Mothersbaugh trax, is excellent.
