Comment:
The story behind the mix two months in the makingThere I sat, all ready to start on my communications degree [01] when the financial aid office informed me that my scholarship didn't cover the $500+ I'd need for books [02]. I bit the bullet and got a job at McDonald's [03]. The job wasn't too awful [04] (especially the paycheck [05])...at first. [06] But in the immortal words of Clerks, "This job wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the customers." I began to loathe everyone, from grouchy senior citizens [07] to whiny demanding kids [08] to obese rednecks [09], not to mention my own lazy coworkers [10] and the notorious company I worked for [11]. In addition to getting on my nerves. the job wrecked havock on my allergies [12], feet [13], sleeping pattern [14], and (worst of all) social life [15]. My job was making my life miserable [16] for no where near enough money [17]. I'd decided that I'd had enough [18] - the job of drive-thru lady was not for me [19]. Therefore, I took Johnny Paycheck's advice [20], much to the delight of my concerned friends. [21] Now I have two weeks to cram an entire summer into before venturing into the big unknown: college. [22] Wish me luck.
Feedback:
Rocks dude, hopefully when I'm off to college next summer I won't have this same deal.

Wishing you all the luck in the world. Pleased you've escaped The Golden Arches. Nice mix/great concept.
Best of luck to you. This is a really cool way to tell the story. Enjoy college, get that degree, and you'll never be on that side of the counter again.
Fan-damn-tastic...have a communications degree myself...........you are planning to go to graduate school, right?
Listen to 12vman. I've got a communications degree too and I didn't go to grad school. I'm not working at McD's but close. But do what makes you happy & sane - thats my college advice. Oh yeah - great mix.
Suh-weet! This would definately be an addition to Famous' Fever Dogs. It has a fantastic narrative quality, which is hard to accomplish, and you get bonus points for that groovy cover by VR. Cheers to you Miss Lipstick, I may have to engineer a trade for this in the near future. -Famous.
Good for you!! With imagination and musical taste like this IMHO you will go a long way. Enshalla!
Creative, with a lot of great picks. Glad you're finished with that shitty job.

damn fucking straight. as a fellow wage slave, i can relate to every part of your story - college costs, annoying customers, and great music. good luck in college, and remember - the customer is not always right, he's wrong, obnoxious, and ugly too.
Kiss, kiss, sweet mix, Lipstick. Nice concept and execution. You made my day because I've been thinking about using a Loverboy song on a mix and wasn't sure I had the "courage" to do so, until you showed the way. Good Luck with school.
One heck of a narrative! "Grouch" is a fitting choice for those customers.
Fantastic, but, uhm, I ordered super size fries, not large. Glad you got out and good luck!
The amount of thought that went inot this is just plain impressive. Good work and good luck with college.
My little brother just got a job at those same Golden Arches of legend. I anticipate hearing about these same things in a very short while. This is excellent. Good luck in college, it'll be fun times.
Nice theme! I really like your explanation of each song. Now you'll have to make college/miserable, college/amazing mixes
I really like this theme. Very nice mix.
excellent compilation !!! i'm e-mailing you to arrange a trade :)
Love tracks 1-3, 13-15.
I love biographical mixes. Being in my 14th year of college, I can tell you that despite how much you'll be complaining by your senior year, you're about to have the time of your life. You'll probably change your major a couple times, but don't let anyone influence the decisions you make. The world doesn't need another business major. And read 'The Jungle' by Upton Sinclair as soon as you can!But especially use your time for music...
I hope you are a titan of industry by now!!! A new biographical update mix would be welcomed!!!
