Comment:
Another single artist mix for summer listening. I'm never satisfied with greatest hits compilations of my favorite artists, because they invariably neglect tunes that I can't live without. I made this for my boyfriend and myself, we both love the Lovin' Spoonful but have some variation among our favorite tunes, this captures our favorites pretty thoroughly, I think. Probably the best use of autoharp in all of rock 'n' roll!
Feedback:
I WANT THIS. I WANT THIS. I WANT THIS. I WANT THIS. I was just bemoaning the fact that a great Lovin' Spoonful comp did not exist... now it does. Please tell me what I can send you and let's get the ball rolling... Great mix.
JUST EXACTLY WHAT ROB SAID!!!
Far superior to the official greatest hits CD I picked up.
awesome!!
This and the Monkees compilations look great, although I shamefully little about both groups.
i hate that first song but otherwise it's great group (ok I don't really hate it I can't just hear it anymore)
FANTASTIC!!! John Sebastian has been sadly overlooked, but he wrote some great, great songs. Yes, this is much better than the greatest hits comps.
What a charming LA band these guys were! I have no single artist cd by them, and would love to trade with you (after you have hand delivered a copy to Rob, of course). also, I need a track on here to do an expansion of one of my mixes, so that would be a help. And a very sunny cover for a very sunny band. nice job.
This is amazing, because I, like these other people, have never seen a completely awesome Lovin' Spoonful collection either. Great job...I could also go for a copy of this.
Hey, super cool tribute! I love these guys and I don't have nearly enough of them. Can I trade ya something for it? Zal is a great guitarist, too - in fact, he's one of the only 3 guys I've ever seen playing a Guild Thunderbird (the guitar I seem to use the most these days). Hmmm... Zal? Lal? Is there a connection? Wait... am I dead, too?
all their best stuff together in one volume. A crackin' mix, Deanna
This looks great. Add me to the long list of people who want a copy!
Dig the Spoonful a lot. Great job.
You Didn't Have To Be So Nice is one of my top twenty favorite songs ever and Darling Be Home Soon is right behind. I'd say more but I want to go and listen to Nashville Cats right now!
Lookin' fine.
I agree...this is the best Lovin' Spoonful Comp. I've ever seen..great stuff!!
Wild about the lovin'. Outstanding picks, Deanna.
good, good stuff, deanna.
Except for the first song (which should be banned from all oldies stations for overplay), this is a fine mix.
Again, not a band I have given enough listening time to - but I like what I've heard, so I will definitely do so now as this looks absolutely great.
Boy, I'm sure glad I don't listen to commercial radio anymore! The only time I hear the Spoonful is when I pull out the albums, so I'm not too sick of any of these tracks (yet!). I like the first track purely because it seems so anomalous, the only other track that comes close to it in roughness is 4 eyes
