You don't see too many fruit mixes these days... awesome stuff! :)

If you're into spoken-word type stuff about bananas, I just procured "The Brak Show" CD today, and there's a little skit on there called "Bananachek."

"I can't hear you, Bert! I've got a banana in my ear!"
- Ernie on Sesame Street

I'm speechless. I would love to actually hear this tape instead of just reading the track listing.

AWESOME!!!

I've got two for you. the monkees' 'apples, peaches, bananas and pears' (hope other fruit can make guest appearances) and a personal fave, oscar mclollie's 'hot banana', which i've used for musical chairs at my kid's birthday party. honkin' heaven. you have a warped mind; we should trade.

That somebody actually wrote a song called 'I've Got the Yes We Have No Bananas Blues' beggars belief.

There's also "Banana Split for my Baby" by Louis Prima and "Banana Meltdown" by Jon Spencer Blues Explosion/Dub Narcotic Sound System.

This is quite possibly the most adorable thing I've ever seen. Did you make that cover?

"Banana Split for my Baby"--definitely a glaring omission for a Louis Prima fan like yourself. I might also throw in "The Peanut Vender" just to mix things up a bit.

Wow this mix has real appeal... er... slip me some skin, brother!

Somwhere in the archives of the BFI (British Film Institute) is a clip from the end of a TV variety show from the 1950s on ATV with a song lyric "Walking down the Strand, with a banana in my hand..." If that's not apropos of nothing I don't know what is!

I can't believe all these banana titles! And even without "Banana Chips" by Shonen Knife or Ms. Gwen's banana shout-out. As Ralph Wiggim would say, "Go banana"

Bananas just happen to be my absolute favorite food EVER! I'll listen to this whenever I reach for my favorite potassium source!

Wow, a whole mix about the best fruit ever! That's awesome. However, I see a Raffi song there that isn't the one I would have thought..."Banana Phone"! Also, there's "10,000 pounds of Bananas" by Harry Chapin and of course the banana song by Belafonte (which people have already mentioned in the comments). Your cover is so cute too.
