Comment:
Ah, the early to mid-1990's... When the word "alternatve" while still not a great description, actually held meaning and promised new and exciting sounds. Remember when you'd stay up until 1am listening to the radio in hopes you'd hear that amazing song one more time? Here are 60 of those songs placed somewhat in chronological order -- 1990 to 1995. Disc one of 3.Feedback:
i love that lush song. cool lookin mix.
Yep, you pretty much nailed the era. Some has obviously aged better than others (I still listen to Matthew Sweet, Pixies, SY and Teenage Fanclub with some regularity, but the shoegazing stuff only gets taken out for the occasional spin).
Excellent selection! Dig for fire! Waiting room! No other way! Conjures up memories of living in an extremely messy apartment in the early 90s. Well, I still live in a messy apartment, but it's a different one.
